RePublic Schools Nashville

Mission Statement

RePublic Schools is a free, open-enrollment network of public charter schools dedicated to reimagining public education in the South by preparing scholars for college and teaching them to code. Founded in 2011, RePublic Schools serves approximately 3,000 scholars, the majority of whom come from historically underserved communities, across seven schools in two cities; Jackson, Mississippi and Nashville, Tennessee. We care deeply about proving what’s possible for education in the South.

While we work with our high school seniors to apply for financial aid, scholarships, and work study programs, we unfortunately find that these options still fall short of fully supporting our seniors as they transition into college. This is especially challenging in today’s environment, as many of our families were impacted by the Nashville tornadoes and the COVID-19 pandemic. The Class of 2020 was robbed of so many important milestones to round out their K-12 educational experience including prom, full spring athletic seasons, senior events, and so many more. We want to be sure that we send off the Class of 2020 with the support they deserve. The Big Payback donations will support RePublic High School seniors with funds that will pay for tuition, books, housing, and additional supports as they make the exciting next step to begin college in the fall.
