Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Kim earned a BS in financial economics from Fisk University and obtained a master’s degree in business administration from Tennessee State University.
With more than 18 years of community relations, program management, donor engagement, and communications experience, Kim has worked for organizations such as Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Bethlehem Centers of Nashville, Community Foundation of Central Illinois, and Tennessee SCORE. In 2020, she became the Executive Director for Young Leaders Council, an organization focused on training young professionals to effectively serve on nonprofit boards. Kim is a graduate of YLC’s Nashville Class 49.
A fierce advocate for the nonprofit community, Kim recently joined the Tennessee Nonprofit Network Board of Directors and is the immediate past board chair for Mending Hearts. She also serves on the Truist Bank Community Advisory Board. In 2024, Kim was selected as one of Nashville Business Journal’s Most Admired CEOs and was featured among the Nashville Post “The Mentors”. Kim was also selected by the Junior League of Nashville to receive the 2024 Paragon Award for Outstanding Community Service.
Kim is the proud mother of three children and enjoys spending quality time with her family and supporting her children’s various activities. She enjoys walking her Yorkie, listening to audio books, and visiting Disney whenever humanly possible.

Rachel Reyes is a native to the Nashville area and is grateful to serve at Program Manager for YLC, managing admissions, internship placement and communications with nonprofit friends and program participants. She graduated from Lipscomb University with a degree in Strategic Communication/PR, and has served in the nonprofit program management and event planning space for over 4 years now. She is a graduate of YLC’s Spring 2022 Nashville Class. Rachel lives in the Nashville area with her husband and enjoys cooking, walking, hosting friends and exploring new restaurants!
Anna Gorman
Alumni Engagement & Events Manager
Anna Gorman serves as the Alumni Engagement & Events Manager for Young Leaders Council. Anna launched her career in the nonprofit sector immediately after earning her B.A. in Arts Administration from the University of Kentucky. She began in development with Make-A-Wish Mid-South in Arkansas and led event recruitment for the American Cancer Society in Kentucky.
Transitioning into the corporate sector, Anna spent over a decade in Nashville in business-to-business sales, working with a wide variety of clients ranging from local small businesses to global portfolios. She recently earned her MBA from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management. While there, she served in a leadership role for the Owen Board Fellows, which is a program with a similar mission to YLC, and served as a Board Fellow for the Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee.
When she isn’t connecting alumni or running events, you can find Anna eating dessert at local restaurants and then burning it off in hot yoga. She lives in Nashville with her husband, Austin, and they are celebrating 10 years of marriage this year. They share their home with a flock of pet birds and a Great Pyrenees named Spaghetti.
