The Friendship Project
As an educator, a social worker, an innovator, and a change agent, Lauren’s career includes over 15 years of experience leading higher education change initiatives and five years consulting with governments and organizations to develop human-centered technology and training. For the YLC, she brings experience as a volunteer coordinator, a campus partner to nonprofit and community organizations, and a trainer of trustees.
Lauren identifies as a bridge builder who builds consensus around mutual benefit and drives progress through effective communication, purposeful engagement, and clear roadmaps for stakeholders. She earned a Ph.D. from the University of Georgia Institute of Higher Education and a Master of Social Work from the University of Alabama. In her real life, she loves to cook, practice yoga, walk/talk with friends, and snuggle her doodle Millie.
