Hands on Nashville/United Way of Greater Nashville | Dr. Allison Quintanilla Plattsmier, a 2018 Williamson County Young Leaders Council graduate and former YLC Ambassador, was named the recipient of the 2026 Social Justice Impact Award at the 40th Annual Mary Catherine Strobel Volunteer Awards, presented by Hands On Nashville and United Way of Greater Nashville. The award recognizes individuals whose volunteer leadership advances equity, dignity, and access for underserved communities. Dr. Allison Quintanilla Plattsmier was honored for her work in immigrant justice, youth empowerment, economic mobility, mentorship, and community-based service initiatives across Middle Tennessee. Fellow YLC alum Christina Griffin was also nominated for a Strobel Award this year, highlighting the continued impact of YLC alumni across the region. As part of the award, Dr. Allison Quintanilla Plattsmier directed the accompanying community grant to the ENP FreeStore, supporting continued access to groceries, household essentials, and critical resources for local families.
